Patterns and determinants of intra-industry trade in agri-food products between Bosnia and Herzegovina and CEFTA 2006

The paper aims to identify patterns and country-specific determinants of intra-industry trade (IIT) in agri-food products between Bosnia Herzegovina (BiH) other CEFTA 2006 parties the period 2008-2018. purpose is contribute filling gap empirical literature on IIT South East European countries, especially regard non-manufacturing sectors. To investigate intensity structure analysis employed Grubel- Lloyd indices GHM methodology based relative unit values. In order examine impact various products, a random-effects Heckman selection model was estimated, following sector-level approach analysis. indicates lower level than expected strong dominance its vertical type all BiH bilateral relations within 2006. results also suggest that major positively affecting include size trading economies, similarity their ethnic structure, membership common regional agreement, borders. By contrast, indicate negatively affected by differences economies terms productivity gross domestic product per capita.
